What is the online shakeout?

Many companies have started online since 2001. Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic and even after the democratisation of AI and the tart of The Great Ai-layoff in 2022, more corporates, startups, scaleups & SMEs have been forced to take that step with varying success. However, many existing and new online businesses do not get off the ground online. Why not?

Because there has been an online shakeout going on for a while now. And that’s what you run into as a online freelancer, startup, scale-up and other SME companies, just like many corporates.
