When I decided to leave the corporate rat race in 2011, I had to follow a traditional outplacement program at my former corporate employer ABN Amro (see here).

I had already discovered in 2001 when I started to make money online as side-hustle working form home and as digital nomad with ebooks, that most of my corporate diplomas and certificates wre useless. Why? because the skillset you need tobe succesful as an independent entrepreneur or succesful founder of a startup for instance is completely different.
