What are corporate skills?

Corporate skills or corporate competencies are specific, person-related characteristics that are reflected in successful behavior within a large corporate organization. These competencies determine whether you are suitable for a specific position and whether you fit within the organisational culture of a large traditional corporate or in a large Government organisation for instance.

Corporate skills are irrelevant for entrepreneurs

Since the year 2000 I started to learn how to make money online working from home with e-books and software as side hustles. I discovered rather quickly that with a small number of exceptions, my corporate skills where actually irrelevant if I wanted to become successfull as independent business owner.

I discovered that I needed specific entrepreneurial skills including completely different digital skills….and fast. And that is also why I immedately stopped following corporate related management training and buying corporate managementbooks.
