Sacred Cows Make the Best Burgers by Robert Kriegel.

Good afternoon, many people ask me which management books they should read and/or use. So I’ll start with providing you tips on must-read managementbooks on corporate change management and other relevant corporate managementbooks today.

Sometimes my must-read management books are still available new, but often only second-hand via Amazon.com.

Today my first personal ‘must-read’ classic managementbook:

Sacred Cows (Sacred Cows) — outdated and expensive business practices like the never-read reports or a slowdown of innovative ideas — exist in every business. Inspired by insights gained from more than 450 programs run with organizations of all kinds, the authors of Sacred Cows Make The Best Burgers show how corporations can kill the sacred cows that paralyze them.

The ‘Holy cows make great burgers’ corporate change managementbook is a great example of a managementbook that is still very relevant and usefull in 2022. With great cartoons of all kinds of managers and employees in traditional ‘fat’ organization who defend ‘holy cows’ and thereby prevent really necessary changes and real innovation. Such as the well-known ‘cost-cutting cow’ that saws through the own branch on which he/she is sitting!

This is one of the main reasons why I hardly ever buy ‘new’ corporate management books anymore: not much ‘innovation’….and my bookcase is full of these classics.
